Beach Reads, Of Course
Jimmy Buffet. I didn’t know he even wrote books. But hey, he’s rich and can do whatever he wants because he’s the guy behind all the Margaritaville commercialism.
I suspect that Jimmy Buffet has lots of “people” who run his commercial enterprises, which probably leaves him with lots of time he needs to fill with purposeful activity. So why not books? Anything with his name on it is gonna sell. And I’m sure he’s got a bunch of stories rolling around in that very creative head of his.
I discovered Jimmy Buffet was an actual author when I found his National Bestseller (not sure if that’s the book or the author) titled A Salty Piece of Land (A Novel) on the bookshelf at the local Goodwill store. The price was right. So that’s what I’m reading right now.
