Years ago, before the tornado, I taught a class in the adult community education program called Conquering Clutter.
It was very popular and I was pretty good at it. In fact, a tornado is the ultimate clutter conquerer but I don’t recommend it.
This week, as I was putting the clothes back that we’d moved out of the leaking master bedroom closet the night of Hurricane Ian, I realized there were items that I was NEVER going to wear again. I put those aside and donated them, along with a stack of books we’d already read and would never pick up again.
I thought about, for the first time in a long time, how easy it is to get bogged down, both physically and mentally, in the clutter that accumulates so dang fast in our lives. And I vowed that I’m not going to let that happen to me. Again.
I’ll let you know in a post about 6 months from now how it’s going.
