It’s a first world problem, I know.
It’s just that I love to hang out at the beach, and around the pool. It’s one of the main reasons we moved to Florida. And honestly, that nice toasty tan color does look good on me. It’s been effortless to maintain my tan until Hurricane Ian roared through our little slice of paradise.
The beaches are still not completely safe or welcoming and no one is recommending entering the Gulf of Mexico waters around here at all. Our pool is cleaned up from the mess (above photo) after the storm, but without a pool cage and with the heaps and piles of storm debris still everywhere, being outside, hanging around the pool, isn’t as inviting as it should be.
Consequently, my tan is fading and I’m going to have to make an effort to make what used to be effortless happen. A sacrifice, I know. Don’t judge.
So if you’re looking for me the next few weeks, look first where the sun and sand are.
