OK, honestly, I don’t know for a fact that it ever left. But from our observations over the past few years, we surmised that while a lot of folks bought RVs at the beginning of the covid thing, as the thing wore on and many campgrounds closed, RVing became harder and harder to accomplish.
Then, after gas prices shot into the stratosphere, we noticed as we traveled up north and back the last couple of years that there seemed to be a dearth of RVs on the roads. Many full-time RVers on YouTube I’d been watching for a few years called it quits.
But coming back from Missouri this week Randy and I both noticed that RVs on the highways seemed to be back in full force. Many of them were small, tiny even, and tended to have “light” or “mini” as part of their name. Yes, we did see a few of those huge, gorgeous, expensive Class A motor mansions pulling Jeeps, but most of them were much more modest.
Now, granted, it could just be the influx of camping snowbirds coming to Florida the first week after the holidays ended, but there was no question there were more of them than we’d seen for several years. What do you think? Is RVing back?
