Sometimes something you’ve never heard of before comes into your world, and then you see it everywhere even though you never noticed it before. That’s what happened recently with rebounding.
Randy sent me a Facebook reel (that’s a really short video, in case you didn’t know) about how rebounding is really good for seniors. It showed a woman (not the one pictured) who looked to be older than me on one of those mini trampolines, bouncing up and down, and looking darn happy about it. I was, at first, horrified. I was afraid it was one of those fail videos that showed her bouncing right off the thing and breaking her neck when she landed between the coffee table and the sofa. But no, she just jabbered on about how good for seniors this new activity called rebounding is.
Sure enough, a quick Google search provided a whole lot of information, none of which was negative. Even though I promised Randy before we moved here that I’d never buy another piece of exercise equipment, he’s the one who is encouraging it. My only stipulation is that it has to have a bar to hold on to like the one in the picture. I can see putting the trampoline on the lanai right next to the pool, but there’s no guarantee that if I bounce off of the dang thing, it’ll be on the pool side. Better safe than sorry.
Stay tuned. I’ll give you an update in a few weeks.
