Last year we made the decision to plug the drain hole in our pool. At certain times of year we put a lot of water in the pool. We figured when it rains, why not collect that water and use it instead of having the pool drain down to a certain level and just replacing it with water we have to pay for.
This week it rained. A lot. And so we’re questioning that decision. About an inch and a half drained out overnight (through the skimmer basket compartment we think). And we discovered that even if the pool overflows, there’s enough of a drain between it and the house to not have to worry about it.
Makes a great picture and story, though, no?
