Lazy Days

I didn’t get up this morning until nearly 10 am. In my defense I had a bad night and didn’t fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning. Since I’ve been awake I’ve done basically nothing.

My sweet husband just let me sleep and went about his business, taking care to be super quiet. When I did awaken, I sat around in my pjs for about an hour and a half and then we ate ham, egg & cheese sandwiches for lunch. We talked about whether or not we had anything on our agendas for the day. Neither one of us did. Or does.

Who cares whether I accomplish one stinking thing today? Except for writing this short post celebrating that we can have lazy days now any time we want them. Without guilt, and without a lot of stuff piling up that we’re putting off to be lazy. All hail retirement!
