I recently discovered an author I’d never heard of before.
I ran across a book called While We Were Watching Downton Abbey at a used book store. It was a such a fun read I decided to research the author. To my surprise I found that she’s written more than 10 books, six of which (along with 2 related e-publication only novellas) are known as the Beach Road series. They particularly intrigued me because they’re set on the Gulf Coast of Florida just north of where I’m currently living.
I started the Beach Road series by getting the first book, used, from Amazon. The next one came from the library, and all subsequent books of the series were borrowed from my local library’s Cloud Library collection. I haven’t ever been a fan of e-books even though I’m on my third Kindle. But I’m quickly changing my mind since I just couldn’t get enough of this series. I was reading each book in about 2 days. And the Cloud Library was perfect for getting one right after another, even in the middle of the night when I couldn’t wait to see what happened next.
I finished the series about a week ago and I was so sorry to see the stories of these women of Beach Road end.
