<Big Sigh>

Interior hurricane damage repair started yesterday. The poor house. A team of mold specialists came in and just started ripping the guts out of our master bedroom wing. There wasn’t a lot of mold, but there sure was a lot of water damage to the drywall on the end of the house where Ian pounded away for 12 very long hours last September.

The house will be in this state of disrepair for at least a month, maybe a lot longer. We have a drywaller lined up but not yet scheduled to put it all back together after it’s dried out and treated.

We have a roofing contract but no permit yet. We have leads on companies to repair the gutters, soffit, fascia and put up a new pool cage, but no real time frame for that exterior work. And when all that is done we’re gonna have the exterior painted. It should look like a brand new house! Yay!

I’ll be really, really glad when this is all behind us.
