A few years ago, just before covid struck and created havoc with people’s lives, we were planning a reunion of sorts with most of Randy’s brothers and sisters.
The plan was to rent an Air BnB near Williamstown, KY and tour the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum together. We all looked forward to it, but sadly, that adventure never happened.
When Kristine and Gary were here last week, we talked about resurrecting that trip, not only because some of us still want to visit the Ark, but because the idea of a reunion of the brothers and sisters gets more appealing as we age. I sent out an e-mail to everyone soliciting their thoughts about planning a week in September in a location to be determined to reconnect as family and enjoy each other’s company. The last time we did this was 5 years ago when Randy’s mom turned 90.
Randy’s folks and one of his brothers are no longer alive, but in our family we want to be sure to give family tradition and closeness a priority in our lives. Stay tuned for how we accomplish this over the next few months.
